I feel almost human today. I picked up my Zofran yesterday and took some right away. Managed some dinner, which is a step in the right direction. Then my toddler stayed in his own bed ALL NIGHT and so I got a good night’s sleep for once. It’s amazing how much better those 2 things can make me feel! I’m even considering taking the boys swimming this afternoon by myself. Hopefully the air quality is a bit better today than yesterday!
I do have a complaint, though…our prescription coverage is through Express Scripts and I can only get 12 tablets at a time. Luckily, this is not a monthly limit. So once I run through my 12 (which could take a couple of days if I take them every 8 hours like the prescription says…I won’t, because it seems like they’re lasting longer than that) I have to trot myself back over to the pharmacy and get 12 more. I understand that it is an expensive drug. But I’d rather pay a higher co-pay (it was only $7 for the 12) and make fewer trips to the pharmacy, especially since they don’t keep it in stock. At least there is a generic available…the brand was a $150 co-pay for 12. YIKES! Thank God we have insurance. I complain about our healthcare costs a lot, but at least we do have coverage. It’s not great, but it’s definitely better than nothing.
