For those of you who haven’t picked up the hints or haven’t been told outright, I am pregnant. We confirmed a beautiful, perfectly placed baby with an absolutely gorgeous beating heart today. I have a rough track record with getting and then staying pregnant, so I always try not to get too excited before seeing a heartbeat but it’s really, really hard. I hope I haven’t jinxed myself, but I just cannot keep it a secret any longer. Plus it’s becoming fairly obvious…I’m glowing (in a hot, sweaty, I’m trying not to barf on you way, not the beautiful pregnant way) and I’m already outgrowing my normal clothes. Apparently that happens earlier and earlier with each pregnancy. Luckily this is the last (planned) baby for me! I’d be wearing maternity clothes before conception if we had another one!
We’re expecting this little one in mid-late January. A winter baby is an entirely new experience for me…I’m picturing my water breaking during an ice storm when we have no electricity. This is highly unlikely since a) my water has never been broken until the doctor broke it during my c-sections and b) this will most likely be a scheduled c-section. In light of this, I was really considering not finding out the sex of the baby so there would be *some* mystery involved. Unfortunately my husband is not up for this…he says the surprise was in the beginning and he’s not sure just how much more “surprise” he can handle. I think he’s lost all sense of adventure.
So there you have it! TSP = baby #3 for this Mama. And now there is actually a chance that my brain will not explode with the pseudo keeping of secrets.
