My son’s preschool is out for the summer (WHY in the world they don’t go past mid-May is beyond me!) so that means we have 2 months to relax before he starts kindergarten at Tramway. I have already heard the “I’m bored.” whining this morning, so that means I have to get on the ball and go into full mommy entertainment mode. We’re signed up for t-ball already, but I need to get them signed up for swimming lessons (sign ups are every day this week at OT Sloan pool from 3-6PM) and maybe some other activities. We have zoo passes, but with the price of gas I want to stay close to home as much as possible. Maybe gymnastics for my little one? I’ll have to peruse the Lee County Parks & Rec book and see what else is coming up for us to do. I want to do as much as possible before school and the TSP starts interfering.
My oldest has also expressed a desire to give acting a try. At 5, I doubt he’s really old enough for any of the local stuff, but I want to indulge his interests as much as possible. If anyone has suggestions for this particular interest, let me know. I did check out the Temple Theatre’s site and it looks like he is too young for anything there, so I’m guessing this may be something we’d have to do in Apex or Cary.
