Today the 4 year old classes put on a circus at my son’s preschool. My son, naturally, was a clown. (If you know him, you know this was the *perfect* role for him!) He did a fabulous job and I am so very proud of him. It was a great show and all of the kids should be proud of themselves.
If anyone was there and has video of the clowns, could you email it to me? (themama at iamthemama dot com) My husband got there late and missed about half of that part of the performance. And of course now my mom wants to see it as well. I’m kicking myself for not bringing the video camera now.
And for those who haven’t seen the posters around town or didn’t get the phone solicitation, there’s a circus at the fairgrounds this weekend as well. This is a big weekend in Sanford (opening of the Farmer’s Market and bike criterium) so I’m not sure we’ll be able to fit it in, but after today, I think both kids would really enjoy it!
Oh, and yes, I was *that* mom. The little one got away from me while his big brother was performing and ran up to try to play with him. Then he got away from his daddy and ran up during another act…I think it was the elephants. I was mortified that it happened twice. Sorry about that! He’s at that age where he just wants to do everything the big kids are doing and he doesn’t understand why he can’t. Poor kiddo! I can just imagine the drama that will ensue when his big brother gets to go to school full time and possibly ride the bus and everything. It will be a circus for sure, just not the fun kind.
